As a Welshman who has moved North John has been involved at Preston Grasshoppers all his adult Rugby Life. He played many games for the 1st team before moving down the teams and helped to bring on younger players. After retiring from playing John refereed with the Manchester & District Referees Society and then as a Club Referee. He has been Fixtures Secretary at Preston since 1983 and was one of the founder members of the North West Leagues. John also set up the Referee Associations who cover the lower team games at many clubs throughout Lancashire and Cheshire

Results

Both sides are responsible for sending in the results. Score must be checked with the referee. These must be supplied to John by Saturday 6.00pm at the very latest. This can be done by text, telephone or e-mail.

Postponed Games

Postponed games are normally re-arranged for the next available weekend by the Honorary Fixtures Secretary in collaboration with John. Re-scheduled fixtures will be shown here within a day or two of the postponement.

DO NOT assume you can simply re-schedule your own games when you have a postponement as there are knock on effects and other Teams' fixtures to consider. Any suggestions can however be discussed with John.

Managers should please notify John by eMail of any re-scheduled games or fixture switches / reversals which they spot have not been updated in the Fixture List.
